Several years after our established, we launched our own website, entitled ‘Sundials Online’. From making one design of equatorial sundial, Connoisseur Sundials offer a wide range of horizontal, vertical / wall, and equatorial sundials, armillary spheres, analemmatic and polar sundials, which we hope you will enjoy viewing on this site. Sundials Online offers an interesting range of sundials, ideal as public art commissions or as an ornate addition to your garden. For example, our analemmatic dials are ideal for public spaces, whereas our polar sundials are ideal for the garden. Unlike conventional dials, polar sundials tell the time based on the length of the shadow, determined by the height of the sun. Our pedestals are available in natural or reconstituted stone, bearing the name of the maker, with simple setting instructions. Equally attractive – and ideal for both community spaces and private gardens are our armillary spheres. Originally designed for mapping the heavens, the various bands represent the celestial equator and ecliptic path of the sun. Our armillary spheres also include rings for the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn as an added extra. Sundials Online are constantly looking to offer interesting new designs, and are currently in the process of patenting a new alignment sundial - the azimuthal mean-time dial.
